Cookie Policy
This policy details the use of cookies on the website atlanticaudio.dev.
1. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It allows the website to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site.
2. What types of cookies do we use?
We use our own and third-party cookies for technical and analytical purposes:
a) Technical Cookies (Necessary)
Those necessary for navigation and the proper functioning of our website. For example, those used by Cloudflare for security and load balancing.
b) Analytics Cookies
Allow us to quantify the number of users and perform measurement and statistical analysis of the use of our website. To do this, your browsing is analyzed in order to improve the range of services.
3. List of cookies used
| Name | Provider | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | 2 years | Identify unique users (Anonymous). |
| _gid | Google Analytics | 24 hours | Distinguish users. |
| _gcl_au | Google Ads | 90 days | Attribute a conversion, such as a form submission, to the ad click that brought the visit. |
| cf_clearance | Cloudflare | 1 year | Security. Proof that the visitor is not a bot. |
4. Consent and your region
Analytics and advertising cookies are governed by Google Consent Mode v2, and the default depends on where you are browsing from:
- European Economic Area and United Kingdom: analytics and advertising storage are denied until you accept, because these laws require your consent before anything beyond a technical cookie is set. We show a cookie banner on your first visit. If you choose “Reject”, consent stays denied.
- Quebec: the same storage stays denied by default, because Quebec law requires identification and profiling functions to be switched off until you turn them on. We show no banner there; the control in the next section is how you enable them.
- Switzerland: analytics and advertising measurement run from your first page view, which Swiss law allows as long as we tell you and let you refuse. Personalized advertising is the exception: it stays off until you enable it in the next section.
- Everywhere else: analytics and advertising storage are granted by default, so Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion measurement run from your first page view and no banner is shown. You can switch them off at any time in the next section.
While consent is denied, Google’s tags still send measurement without reading or writing cookies, and an ad click identifier can travel in the page address instead of a cookie so we can tell which campaign brought a visit. Neither keeps an identifier that lets us recognize you on a later visit.
Your choice is stored locally in your browser (under the key cookieConsent) so we do not
ask again on later visits. Clearing your browser storage resets it.
5. Your tracking preferences
This control covers Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads in this browser, and it overrides the regional default above in either direction. It takes effect on the next page you open.
6. How to disable cookies?
You can allow, block, or delete cookies by configuring your browser options:
